Damian der Piper Chef – Terms & Conditions of Booking

Terms & Conditions

By confirming a booking with Damian der Piper Chef, the client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking Confirmation

2. Payment

All bookings must be paid in full in advance.
Payment must be received by the agreed due date. Failure to pay may result in the booking being released without further notice.

3. Cancellation Policy

All payments are non-refundable.
If the client cancels for any reason, no refund will be issued.
If the client wishes to change the date or time, every effort will be made to accommodate the request, but changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

4. Cancellation by the Performer

In the unlikely event that Damian der Piper Chef is unable to perform due to serious illness, accident, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, every effort will be made to arrange a suitable replacement piper.
If a replacement cannot be arranged, all monies paid will be refunded in full. This shall be the limit of liability.

5. Delays

The client is responsible for ensuring the event runs to schedule.
Reasonable delays of up to 15 minutes will be accommodated where possible.
Significant delays may reduce the performance time or incur an additional waiting fee if the performer is able to remain.

6. Performance Conditions

The client must provide accurate details regarding the event location, timing, access, and any special requirements.
The performer reserves the right to refuse to perform where conditions are unsafe or where abuse, threatening behaviour, or illegal activity is present.

7. Outdoor Performances

Performances may be affected by severe weather.
The Great Highland Bagpipe is not suitable for heavy rain or extreme weather conditions.
Where possible, suitable shelter or an indoor alternative should be provided.

8. Travel & Access

The client is responsible for providing any necessary parking arrangements, venue access instructions, or entry permissions.
Any parking charges or access fees incurred may be added to the booking unless agreed otherwise.

9. Photography & Video

Guests are welcome to take photographs and videos for personal use.
Damian der Piper Chef may use photographs or videos taken during public events for promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing before the event.
No images or recordings from private funerals will be used without the family’s explicit permission.

10. Funeral Services

Every funeral performance is conducted with dignity and respect.
The client should provide final service details as soon as possible, including timing, meeting location, and any requested tunes.

11. Liability

Damian der Piper Chef shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, accidents, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events.

12. Acceptance

Payment of the booking fee constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
